Product Analyst

Location: Delta, BC, Canada

Reporting to the Product Managers, the Product Analyst will act as a key consultant, utilizing various business intelligence tools along with internal and external data, to provide proactive and comprehensive analysis for marketing, production and sales related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute creatively and analytically to product design, pricing and marketability for assigned products & accessories
  • Work directly with internal teams to finalize key details for assigned products – aesthetics, performance, pricing and  marketing initiatives
  • Competitive research – research and maintain database of competitors and their product offerings
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of suggested retail prices and price records for all assigned products
  • Assist with internal and external communications across multiple platforms
  • Assist internal teams with content of product promotions, product launches, product training and other product focused activities.
  • Assist Marketing and Product Management group with development of content for product focused marketing designed to optimize sales results (includes brochures, website, product launches, and others).
  • Act as the gateway for incoming consumer and dealer inquiries
  • Work with Senior VP, Operations to assist with Export leads, communications and product support materials.
  • Manage the marketing and logistics aspects of consumer shows and events 
  • Various related duties as assigned.

  • Familiar with sales & marketing analytics, principles and tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of MSOffice, ERP/MRP Systems and related software
  • Familiar with marketing and sales analysis principles, concepts, practices, techniques and tools
  • Sales negotiation skills considered an asset
  • Ability to think on your feet  and change gears when necessary
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes
  • Experience in the hearth industry an asset
  • Travel within North America when required

Education/Training

A degree in a related discipline, such as Business, Marketing, Commerce or Economics
2-4 years experience in market, product or category analysis
