Job Summary

Location: Portland, Oregon

In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the shipping and receiving
of all FPI inventory and merchandise on a regular basis, while working under the guidance of the Operations
Manager.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ship and receive all products into the warehouse.
• Assist in the set up and complete daily cycle counts.
• Accurately account for all merchandise leaving the facility daily.
• Keep all products properly packaged and labeled for shipping.
• Keep all units rotated using the first in first out rule.
• Contact all shipping companies for daily shipping.
• Maintain proper shipping supplies by ordering through the appropriate outside vendors.
• Keep the warehouse equipment maintained and keep a daily log.
• Assist in the check in and inspection of all product returned.  Arrange to have inventory refurbished and moved to appropriate inventory locations.
• Test any defect product that requires such, so credits can be process in a timely manner (to be assigned to one person).
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
• Other related duties as assigned.
 

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge

  • Good problem solving skills
  • Strong logistical thinking and planning
  • Forklift training or experience

Education/Training

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 1 year or more working in a warehouse capacity
